Their story is a Camp fairytale, meeting as teenage Counselors working at Jeff Lakes Day Camp in NJ and eventually returning to Camp as the Owners/Directors of Meadowbrook Day Camp in Long Valley, NJ from 2004-2016. Their success at Meadowbrook included significant growth in Campers and revenue driven by substantial improvements in Camp culture, program, and facility. They also created their pioneering TIGER (Teamwork, Integrity, Generosity, Enthusiasm, Respect) values program in 2004.
A hallmark of Roz and Jed’s success has been a strong commitment to making every Camp as outstanding as possible as well as making the lifetime benefits of Camp available to as many Campers as possible. In their last 5 years at
Meadowbrook, they provided over a quarter million dollars in Camperships to those who could not otherwise afford the life changing experience. They have donated countless hours to the American Camp Association, individual Camps, and SCOPE to fulfill that goal of Camp excellence and accessibility. In 2016, they were recipients of the prestigious ACA Thelma Hurwitz Leadership Award. Their commitment to excellence in Camp continues today as Consultants, Trainers and Speakers for the Youth Development industry and beyond. Additionally, a portion of all fees are donated to SCOPE each year to continue to provide children from underserved communities with life changing opportunities through the experience of summer camp.
Roz and Jed still live and work in Millburn, NJ where they raised their two grown children, Melanie and Marc.
