Jed is widely recognized as a leader within the Camp industry and beyond. His areas of expertise include Leadership, Staff Training, Program Design & Execution, Business Analysis, Customer Service, and Marketing & Advertising. His volunteer and speaking engagements are extensive. He currently serves as a Board Member for the NY/NJ Affiliate of the American Camp Association where his responsibilities included membership on the Executive Director Search Committee. He has chaired the Morry Stein Management Conference and the Tri-State Camp Conference, the country’s largest educational Camp conference. He also serves as an ACA Standards Visitor and sits on the NY/NJ Standards Committee as well as the National Standards Commission that oversees
ACA Accreditation for the entire country. Additionally, Jed is a founding board member of NJC-GAP, the NJ Government Affairs Organization serving Camps, and he regularly teaches leadership as part of the ACA’s New Directors Orientation. Jed’s speaking engagements include the Tri-State Camp Conference, EPIC Conference,
LEAD Conference, ACA Keystone Conference, and International Radio and Television Society presentations. He has served as a Visiting Professor at Syracuse University and Mentor for the Touro University Masters in Camping Program. Jed has received several service awards from the ACA—The Howard Patton Award for Distinguished Service in 2011 and the ACA National Service Award in 2015.
In addition to his extensive work with children in and out of the Camp setting, Jed brings a successful background in business where he was President of a New York City based privately held media company. He has also worked for Capital Cities/ABC and The Procter & Gamble Company. His past consulting clients have included Nielsen/Arbitron and the Jones Media Group.
He is a proud Syracuse University Alumnus and Orange Fan. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Dual BS Degree in TV/Radio Management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and Marketing from the Whitman School of Management and is a Charter Inductee of the S.I. Newhouse School Alumni Gallery.
